signals that I'll ever know. There aren't

that many firms that have that many

people, with that level of expertise, who

Hampton, Lenzini and Renwick (HLR) is an employee-owned corporation and leading provider of consulting engineering and surveying services to public agencies across Illinois. Building on the foundation laid by Richard Hampton, Robert Lenzini and Herbert Renwick, HLR has built a reputation of expertise, responsive communication and public service, while receiving many awards for outstanding engineering.

1965	S.W. Knetsch and Associates forms and incorporates. Office is located in DeKalb, IL
1975	Firm name changes to Knetsch, Renwick and Associates
1977	Group including Dick Hampton, Bob Lenzini, Herb Renwick and Dave Newkirk purchase Knetsch, Renwick and Associates, Inc.
1977	Name changes to Hampton, Lenzini and Renwick, Inc. The Elgin, IL office opens with Herb Renwick serving as President
1985	Purchase building at 380 Shepard Drive, Elgin, IL consolidate offices
1985	Herb Renwick retires and Bob Lenzini becomes CEO
1985	National Historic Preservation Award for Sylvan Road Bridge, Glencoe, IL - originally designed by Frank Lloyd Wright
1986	APWA Project of the Year Award for Woodstock Downtown Improvements
1994	Open new office in Springfield, IL - Rice, Berry and Uzman, serving as HLR's structural division
1996	CECI - Merit Award for RT 64 ( Gary to Bloomingdale)
1997	Bob Lenzini and Dick Hampton retire; Dave Newkirk becomes CEO
1998	APWA Project of the Year Award for Algonquin Road, McHenry County
2001	Capital Development Board - Thomas H. Madigan Award for Outstanding Achievement for the Rodeo Arena at the Illinois State Fairgrounds
2002	CECI Honor Award and APWA Project of the Year Award for Orchard Road Bridge over the Fox River, Kendall County
